The Cross Skate and Rollerski company of Skiroller Barthelmes was also busy during the cold winter months and releases two new models now: The SRB XRS06 and the SRB XRS07 have one new addition that changes a lot: Instead of 150mm (6inch) tires, these Cross Skates are used with 200m (8 inch) tires. That makes the XRS06 and XRS07 the only available cross skates on the market that are used with larger wheels.
The advantage hereby is the gain of stability. Especially when the grounds are soft and uneven, the wider tire is a plus. Compared to the smaller 150mm tires, you have a larger range where you can drive your cross skates.
The larger wheels have caused an increase when it comes to the weight of the skates though. The XRS06 for example weighs 2.8kilogram. This is something that might take some time to get used to, especially for small and lightweight people. But the bigger range that offers you a lot more possibilities when it comes to your routes compensates the weight by far.
If there are many uneven routes in your area or you simply like to explore new paths on Cross skates, the larger tires are a great and useful development. Passages with softer grounds are manageable now.
The difference between the SRB XRS06 and the SRB XRS07 is the shorter wheelbase of the XRS07. As a certified SRB dealer, we are happy to offer this quality skate Made in Germany.
